How it works
From one purchase to one funded pair
Three things happen around every FlowForward purchase: you get a reusable product, an additional pair is funded, and a community partner decides how it is distributed.
Wearing it
Worn like underwear, not like a device.
The product is designed as a single pair worn on its own, with the absorbent core built into the garment rather than added as an insert. Two absorbency configurations are proposed so one product can cover lighter and heavier days.
We do not publish a protection-hour figure until absorbency testing is complete. Targeted for up to two years of use, depending on final testing, washing, care, and usage.
Care routine
Four steps, cold water, no dryer.

Rinse
Rinse in cold water after wear until the water runs clear. Avoid hot water at this stage.
- 02
Wash
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Skip fabric softener and bleach.
- 03
Dry
Hang to dry. Tumble drying is not recommended for the proposed construction.
- 04
Reuse
Return to rotation once fully dry. Product life depends on wash frequency and care.
A reusable product only helps where washing, drying and privacy are practical. Partners assess this before any distribution.
The one-for-one model
Where your CAD $13.00 goes.
The cost of the matching impact pair is a separate impact distribution expense. It is not included in the cost of goods sold used to calculate gross margin.

A customer purchases one pair
Each eligible consumer purchase is recorded against the impact allocation in our unit model.
- 02
FlowForward funds an additional product unit
CAD $3.00 of each purchase is allocated to fund a matching impact pair as a separate distribution expense.

A community partner manages responsible distribution
Partner organizations decide who receives product, in what sizes, and alongside what support.
Distribution timing and quantities depend on production schedules, partner capacity, recipient needs, and available funding.

Introductory conversation
We learn what your organization needs, who you serve, and whether a reusable product is practical in your context.

Scope and feasibility
Together we define quantities, sizing mix, timing, storage, and any education or care support required.

Written pilot agreement
We record responsibilities, data handling, and feedback expectations in writing before anything ships.

Pilot distribution
The partner manages distribution. FlowForward supplies product, care information, and logistics support.
- 05
Review and reporting
We collect partner and recipient feedback, then publish results as delivered impact once confirmed.
